The ASU Water Ski Team is comprised of a group of exceptional athletes, whose list of accomplishments is impressive. Their excellence, on the water, and dedication to their athletic & scholastic achievements, makes this team stand out:
- 2001 National Champions
- 15 consecutive Western Conference Championships
- Placed in the top four at Nationals for the past 16 years
- Over 85 All-American performances by ASU skiers at
either Nationals or All Stars
- Two Collegiate National Records and every possible
Western Conference Record by the Sun Devils The list goes on!
The team started in 1994 and has been enticing top skiers from around the world Australia, Canada, Columbia, France, Mexico & Sweden.
The #1 ranked overall skier in the world, Jimmy Siemers, Marcus Hayward, Ashley Laythrop, Richard Abelson, Marianna Ramirez, Brody Reid, Kole Magnowski, and Caroline Wolfe are just a few of the alumni of the ASU Water Ski Devils.
The 2009-2010 Water-Ski Team consists of 2009 Women's 1 National Slalom champion Nina Daley and Collin Walker - team captains, 2006 Junior Master Overall Champion Storm Selsor, 2008 17-21 Pan-Am Jump and Overall champion and 2009 Worlds jump finalist Kevin Melnuk, 2009 National Canadian Slalom and Jump champion Amanda Amos, 2009 W! Jump and Overall Champion Erin Kueser, Skip Wintter, Bret Fish, Spencer Crawford, Jodi Barret, Paula Sleiman, Eric Porter, Rico Saladino and Linsdey Ewald.
